For those of you who are too American to follow the world’s game (soccer), the US Men’s National Team qualified for the 2014 World Cup last night with a hard fought 2-0 win over Mexico. For the first time in over a decade (when I was too ignorant to realize how bad our talent was) I believe we can actually do some damage on the world stage. We are flush with young talent in the midfield and it appears our forwards are hitting stride just at the right time. Should make for a fun summer next year.
For those of you who don’t really care about soccer, here are a few great articles to read this morning:
- Maybe we don’t need to fix entitlements after all (Economist)
- Refinances are down 71% since May 3rd (Calculated Risk)
- September actually hasn’t been all that bad since 2013 (Avondale)
